open sore

I have an open wound on my finger.  In the center of this open wound is a little bump. It is important to note that this wound didn't occur until after this bump started to present itself.  I have now had this open sore and bump for more than two months.  I originally thought that it would harden like a wart but it hasn't thus far and it hurts and won't heal.  If I push around the wound the bump will protrude like a mushroom out of my skin.  When I remove the pressure the stem disappears back into the skin.  Please tell me what you think this is.
