painless bump under skin in genital area

The past year or so I have been developing small bumps underneath the skin in my genital area. They are pink and usually the diameter of a thumb tack. Almost like a pressure ulcer in the beginning stages but lighter. The skin on top of the bump feels thin but it is not painful to the touch unless I squeeze it really hard, like if I squeezed a pimple on my face.  They don't look like blisters or warts. (I've looked at pictures of genital warts and herpes. I don't think I have either one of those.) It is usually one bump occuring in only one area, no clusters. When I squeeze it, it feels like it has a core of some kind but nothing comes out. If I do squeeze hard enough or puncture it, only blood comes out and then blood continues to pool into the bump.  I did have one bump a couple of months ago on the fat pad (upper region) of my genital area. I did squeeze it some and blood came out and then I just left it alone.  But it eventually went away. The one I have now is located on my inner left thigh, maybe two inches away from the perineal area.
I have only had one sexual partner. He wore a condom everytime we had sexual intercourse. I haven't had sexual intercourse or engaged in any other sexual acts since 2003. I don't think this is a STD but I want to be sure.
Apologizing in advance for squeezing the bump. I know that's a no-no but I just wanted to make sure of any secretions that were in the bump so I could describe them.
thanks!

I guess I should have mentioned that I am a female. Sorry I didn't mention it in the original post.

I looked at pictures of the penile papules and fordyce spots before I made my original post and the bump doesn't look like either one of those. I also don't know if either of those skin conditions can be passed on to females.

could it be a "risen?"

Hi,

This could be - pearly penile papules or fordyce spots. You would need to consult your doctor for a confirmed diagnosis.

'Pearly penile papules are multiple, small (about 1-3mm) papules running around the circumference of the crown of the glans penis. They typically develop in men aged 20 to 40, and around 10 per cent of all men are affected. They may be mistaken for warts, are not infectious and require no treatment.'

'Fordyce spots are small (1-5mm) bright red or purple papules that can appear on the glans, shaft or scrotum and usually affect younger men. They may occur as a solitary lesion, but frequently appear in crops of 50 to 100. They are painless and not itchy, but may cause embarrassment because of their appearance, or a fear that they might be sexually transmitted. '

Let us know if you need any further information.

Post us about what your doctor advises.

Regards.
