painless herpes?

by anon649, May 28, 2009 12:16PM
I found something on my outer labia(i am female) that did not look like a regular pimple. it was raised and flatter on top not round. It was itching slightly which is how I found it. there seemed to be some pus inside, I squeezed and the pus came out with blood, and now the 'thing' looks like a skin tag and wont go away. First I thought Herpes and got scared. I am married. I'm sure my husband has been faithful and I know he doesn't have herpes. I never have before either so the prospect is frightening and mysterious. It is completely painless. Is it possible to have a completely painless Herpes? Does that sound like what I have? Or could it be something else. I know you have to advise me to see a doctor, of course. But an opinion of what it could be besides herpes or if you think it sounds like herpes would be useful. Thanks.

The labia on the outer side has mucus and apocrine glands. An infection of these and nothing else.Mupurocin creme should help.

Thank you, do you think it is a bacterial or viral infection? How would I have gotten that infection?
I didn't shave the area recently and I shower regularly and generally try to keep very clean.
Is Mucpurocin over the counter or would I need an Rx?
Thanks for your time, I appreciate it

You know these areas have good and bad bacteria on the skin.even a minior injury can lead to infection.I guess you should be able to get bactroban or mupirax otc.
