paper cut like feel at top of my butt cheeks

HI,
not sure what to think.
when i go to the bathroom I had a habbit of spreading my but cheecks.
About two months ago I felt a something like a cut at the top part of my butt crack. It was irritationg and went away on it's own.
Two days I started to get a slightly irritating itch there.
I looked at it and there is nothing there besides a little rednes. I applied some cortaid . it feels a little better. will this come back and should I go see a dermatoligist?
