peeling skin

I have a friend whose skin in raw and peeling.  He is presently on Prednisone.  What is his problem?

A little tricky to replay.  If he is taking prednisone because of the peeling skin, he probably has some form of eczema.  Beyond that, I'd have to know more.  Prednsione itself does not cause scaling.
