penis hurts.

i recently went to a dermatologist for what i thought was a genital wart and slightly red testicles....he told me that the what i thought was a wart is actually a benign growth. but my penis does ache periodically and sometimes i get a stinging sensation. he said my testicles looked fine, but they still seem more red than they ever were before to me...Is there anything i can do about the growth..it feels a little rough to the touch and im emarassed to have sex because of this. and why would i be getting pains? i used to masterbate with a tube sock as dumb as that is...and the doc said the growth was probably from irritation but to still wear a condem. i will of course but what about oral sex? oh one more thing....the top of the head of my penis seems red too but the underpart of the head looks normal...any suggestions?
