penis rash

by bonjovi, Dec 29, 2004 12:00AM
My adult son has a rash on the end of his penis.   It is not sore and causes him no discomfort.  It is a strong red colour and is very moist.  It covers about an inch under the head, round the edge of the head and there is a small rash (similar colour but not moist) centred round the opening.  There is no smell and the skin looks clean - just very red and very moist.  He is not circumcised, so the extent of the rash is only obvious when you pull the skin back.

It's probably irritation rather than yeast or any other infection.  More than likely, no treatment is needed at all.  Next time your son sees a doctor, he should ask for this area to be examined, just for certainty and recommendations, if any.

Take care.
