perioral dermatitis

Over the past 2 months i have had pretty classic lesions of POD (red bumps, occasional pustules, and scaling on my chin/nasolabial folds, and corner of my eyes).  
My question is....i was on nasonex for allergic rhinitis for over a year and i discontinued it abruptly about 1-2 weeks before this rash started.....have you seen people developing POD after discontinuing a nasal steroid (had no rash while on it).  If so, will staying off the nasal steroids alone cause resoloution of the rash or do you still need to treat with doxy, etc for it to resolve.

More than likely dicontinuing the Nasonex is involved.  (Come to think of it, though, I haven't seen a case associated with nasal steroids...)  Stopping a steroid makes the condition flare.  Eventually it should get better, nut you can hasten the resolution a lot by using oral cyclines and topical antibiotics like metronidazole.
