pimples on penis and itchy

my 13 year old son  (never had sex)   has pimples on penis and itches. also possibly has white pimples on penis

what can it be  and how do you treat the problem

hi  well i am not sure where they are  my son is pretty private  and I am trying to be careful not to make him feel funny. I appreciate your response.  thankyou

This may be a fungal infection. Where are the bumps located? Are these shiny or pearly in character?

Differentials aside from a fungal infection may be pearly white papules and a dermatitis. Itchiness may be associated with a dermatitis and fungal skin condition This does not sound very urgent but an assessment by a dermatologist may help allay your worries.

Pearly penile papules are usually noted over the rim of the glans penis .They do not itch and the cause of these is unknown. They are benign bumps on the glans penis and do not need further intervention.

Your son may need some topical medications. Refrain from touching the area. Wash only with a mild cleanser and use loose cotton underpants to avoid further irritating the area.
