plantar wart

plantar wart

I have a plantar wart on my heel.  I recently got it frozen off but it came back.  My question is that I have a 3 month old and I walk barefoot alot.  Is there any way that she will contact the wart.  She doesn't lay on the carpet directly. I always put a blanket down.  Sometimes though a toy might fall on the ground and when she gets it back she puts it in her mouth.  Im afraid of her getting a wart from the toy off the ground.  And also can she get a wart orally from putting it in her mouth or just through breaks in the skin???   I know plantar warts are a form of hpv, can she get genatal hpv warts in anyway from contact with a plantar wart???  Thanks so much.

Hello,
Plantar warts which are caused by HPV occur through breaks in the surface of the outer layer of skin called the epidermis. It can be transmitted through public shower rooms or walking barefoot on dirty surfaces or littered ground. So my advice is to use slippers or socks whenever you are walking so that your child does not get exposed to it.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
