poison ivy discoloration

I recently had a case of poison ivy that has left discoloration on my stomach, chest, and arms. How long will it last?

Hello,
The hyperpigmentation of poison ivy should fade a little with time but if it persists then specific treatment is required. The treatment includes various skin creams like hydroquinone, azelaic acid, corticosteroids, tretinoin cream and laser treatment. Hydroquinone is not without side effects and should be used after a dermatologist’s guidance only especially on the thin skin of penis. If it still persists then you can go in for laser treatment, Chemical peeling or microdermabrasion.
