post accutane oil

by Noah_Goldstein, Feb 06, 2009 12:35PM
I took accutane over 2 years ago and my skin is still dry.  There is absolutely no oil production in my skin. I used to have very oily skin.  Will I ever get some oil back into my skin?

Hi,

Oil glands are naturally present.  With your dry skin, try to use moisturizers and drink plenty of fluids. Keep baths or showers short and use a humidifier if the air is dry. If it persists, talk to your doctor about stronger prescription medications and moisturizers to help with the dry skin. Direct examination must be done to help with the management. Take care and regards.
