psoriasis or fungal

A few months ago I skinned my shin very badly. I kept  Neosporin on it till I realized it wasnt healing. There was a new scab in the middle of it. Then soon after i noticed what looked like bug-bites all over the top of my forearms, They have since gotten bigger and are flaky. Later more spots, bigger and redder and a little painful have shown up on my lower legs. Mostly in front but spreading to back. The spots on my arms are healing first, leaving bleached spots. I know it is contagious because it has spread to spots on my face and ears that I touch a lot. In my eyebrows as well. My boyfriend also has a few spots. i have been prescribed with selenium sulfide shampoo, ketaconazole, and doxycycline hyclate. so far the diagnosis is psoriasis (possibly guttate because i  did recently have strep-throat), with a fungal infection as well?? Wondering if I really do have psoriasis???

Since your boyfriend is showing similar symptoms so fungal infection like ringworm needs to be ruled out as well. I suggest you to get a KOH examination of the skin scarpings done to rule out a fungal infection. If it is fungal infection, then you need topical and oral antifungals.
