pus like pimple on outside of throat

I have a pimple like bump on the outside of my throat. It's been there for about a month.  I thought it was a mole.  Last night it was really red and sore.  I tried to squeeze it and a bunch of yellow, hard pus like yuck came out.  It's still swollen this morning.  It feels like a small rock is in the site where the pus came out.  Should I see a doctor about this or is it just a bad pimple.

You can access information on www.wikipedia.org about these cysts.

Sebaceous cysts are NOT serious, but more annoying.  I had one myself; neck/shoulder area.

Have the physician assess the site and see what he/she thinks, then you will know for certain what it is.

Keep in mind this is just my GUESS.

What is a sebaceous cyst?  Is it serious?  If it's still swollen on Monday, I am going to see the doctor.  It's painful just to touch.

Thanks for the info

I would have your physician assess the site.  Sounds like a nasty whitehead pimple or maybe a small sebaceous cyst.

Do not squeeze it, pick at it, etc.  Keep it clean with plain water daily.
