put it behind me?

put it behind me?

I posted on this board about the middle of november.  To recap, I had unprotected sex about 11 months ago. (last sexual encounter). In September, last year saw something supicious, went to med center at school, got tested all negative.  I started looking at my penis a lot and found a lot of little bumps all over the head of my penis, gives it a kind of wrinkly or sandpaper kind of look.  Went to a dermatologist.  He and his partner both said that they were not warts.

Okay here is my new line of questions?
I noticed these little bumps about five months ago due to extreme self-examination of my penis.  They have not changed at all since i first noticed them.  If they were warts, how fast would they grow or change?  Should I feel confident that these are not warts?  (I mean, i have put off dating until I got some resolution with this stuff.)  Is it normal for the skin on the glans (glands) of the penis to look wrinkly like this?  Is there any way a dermatologist would mis-diagnose warts as something else?  Sorry to burden you with this stuff, but its hard to get something off your mind that you know is there.  I mean, since I was a kid if something was wrong with me, I went to the doctor and they made me get better or made a problem go away.  Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.

Penile skin can indeed look wrinkly.  It is highly unlikely that a dermatologist would misdiagnose warts. Time to take yes for an answer and move on.  Your doctor told you they aren't warts, and I think you should believe that.

Best.

Also, there is this little line on the left side of the glans (glands).  It looks like a little scar. Kind of like the ones you find on your hands from cuts and other things.  I'm pretty sure it has always been there, just wondering what it could be.

Hey man,

I read your post and am glad that you explained your situation as you did.  Ironically I also posted my similar experience on the same day under the nickname D2 (the post right under yours).  I have also "found a lot of little bumps all over the head of my penis, that gives it a kind of wrinkly or sandpaper kind of look," but forgot to mention the "wrinkly or sandpaper" part.  I have been worried about this for 8 months now and have also avoided going out with women as the last thing I want is for a woman to see the irregular appearance and freak out.  Even more so I would not want to infect someone I care about with HPV (Genial Warts), if that's what it is.  But to give you some hope, I have had two different doctors tell me that it is nothing to worry about and that I should forget about it.  It's just hard to do that when there is a visible irregularity and you know that a woman will notice it.  I have done a lot of research on HPV and it doesn't seem that what you and I have described fits the symptoms, but obviously we will leave that up to the doctor to evaluate.  I just wanted to let you know that there is someone else out there that is experiencing the same BS and feels your pain man.  Good luck buddy.
