question about the drug kenolog for alopecia

hi my boyfriend has alopecia and he has been getting injections of the steroid (kenolog)
he was living in Ontario where the healthcare is free but he is now currently living in california
and he would have to pay a doctor to inject it into his head.so he now wants me to do it for him, but i dont want to do it incorrectly. my question, if u can answer it, is how and where would u inject it?
i was reading about kenolog on the internet and it said that you inject it into muscle and not into viens.
how much would you inject into a certain area?
