quick question about dermatitis

by Eric, Apr 10, 2000 12:00AM

yeah, i was just wondering what non-alcoholic dermatitis is, because i had heard someone in the column talking about it some time ago.  How do you get it, what are the symptoms, and how is it treated?  Thanks....

Eric,

I'm afraid I never heard of "non-alcoholic dermatitis."  I never even heard of alcoholic dermatitis.  There is atopic dermatitis, which is a synonym for eczema.  Applying alcohol makes eczmea somewhat worse.  Drinking alcohol may make it seem less important . . .

Best.
