raised scarry tissue on scrotum

Exactly two weeks ago I stupidly popped a small pimple I had on my scrotal skin as hard as I could, which made it even worse. I saw a dermatologist a few days later who said it was infected. He surgically popped the pimple, it scabbed up and healed within 2-3 days. However there is still a raised scarry tissue in the area that has not subsided at all since I saw the dermatologist. I have had sexual activity a few times since then and I am wondering if that may have irritated it. I would like to know why it has not healed after 2 weeks and what I should do about it. I had been putting on bactroban and A&D ointment everyday but did not see any improvement, so I have just been putting nothing on it recently.

After a pimple gets popped or needled, the tissue can take some time to flatten out.  This doesn't mean it isn't healed or that it's still infected.  It really doesn't matter what you put on it, or whether you put anything.  Sex may irritate it a bit, but not enough to matter.  I'd just leave it alone and not worry.  In time it will get reabsorbed.
