rash and deep lump in armpit

I have had a rash in my left armpit for a few weeks and have now developed a acorn sized lump in the past 2 days. The lump is deep in the armpit not on the surface. I am 45 year old male. Is this just a cyst?

It can be a swollen lymph node, boil or a cyst. Lymph nodes get swollen if you are having any bacterial or viral infection. Apply warm compresses and keep the area clean. Drainage if needed is done only when it becomes soft and forms a head. Take some over the counter pain reliever and consult a doctor for examination and antibiotics prescription.
