hi.
i'm 16 this year and i have been experiencing rash for about 2-3years. it really annoys me.
i will start having the rash after i bath(hot or cold) , sweating , swimming, even sun tanning. The rash will start and then dies out after a while as i cool down. It sores a little,(like the tip of the pen) and reddish around it. i have it on my neck, arms, body, legs. i still cant figure out what sort of skin problem i am having. is it heat rash??

Is it because of the body soap i'm using??( as i suppose not (: ) *i uses dettol as body soap.

I have heard that Claritin( 10 milligrams) does solve this type of skin problems??
I really need help for my skin problem...cant take it anymore.

Thanks

To: t0my,
Hello,
The symptoms are suggestive of hives or urticaria. Take some antihistaminic like Benadryl or Claritin and apply some calamine lotion on the rashes. If the symptoms persist then topical or oral steroids may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case.

I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted in case you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.

To: t0my,
Hello,
You can get Benadryl over the counter but it is advisable to take any medicine under the supervision of a doctor. Moreover it causes drowsiness, so please consult your doctor before taking it.
I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

hi again,
ok, thanks. but do i have to take the meds continuous everyday or stop when the rash doesn't appear anymore?

To: t0my,
Hello,
Antihistaminics and steroids may be needed for days or a few weeks till the symptoms persist. If the hives don’t go after 6 wks of treatment also, then it can be a case of chronic urticaria which needs further evaluation as it may be due to auto antibodies.
Hope it helps. Take care and regards.
