What ointment(s) might dermatology recommend?  Mupirocin, the latest, has not worked.  Nor triamcinolone.
Dermatologists says it is not fungal.  Does not itch but uncomfortable sitting late in the day.

Hi

Mupirocin is an antibiotic and can usually stand as a lone medication for bacterial skin infections. If this does not respond to the antibiotic , then this may not be a bacterial infection. Microscopic analysis of skin scrapings in the area may help ascertain if a fungal infection is present. If a fungal infection has been ruled out and the skin condition does not appear to respond to medications, a skin biopsy may be necessary.
