Condition has not responded to variety of ointments over 8 months. What are the probable alterntive causes.
A dermatologist advised thaat it is not a fungus infection. I note on internet that Trimovate combines three possible remeedies. What does Medhelp advise???
I have posted an answer in your other post. I have not mentioned any differentials there. A rash in these areas may have a bacterial or fungal infection as differentials. Other causes may include dermatitis and even parasitic infections such as pinworms. The itching that comes with a pinworm infection is usually severe at night. You may discuss this with your doctor. A scotch tape test may be done to help ascertain if pinworms may be present. For a dermatitic skin condition, a mildly potent corticosteroid may be helpful. If the skin condition does not seem to be responsive however, it is best to perform a skin biopsy.
