This could be periorifacial dermatitis, a commonCommon cold facial skin problem in adult women. It presents with groups of itchy or tender small red papules that appear most often around the mouth (perioral) but may also include the nose, chin and cheeks. The surrounding skin may be pink, and the skin surface often becomes dry and flaky. It is important to discontinue applying all face creams including topical steroids, cosmetics and sunscreens. Wash the face with warm water alone while the rash is present. And have this evaluated further by your dermatologist for proper management. Antibiotics are usually indicated. This condition sometimes recurs when the antibiotics are discontinued. or at a later date.
