rash genital area

. I have 3 medium sized circled like rash spots on my genital area. It isn't itchy and it hasn't spread since I noticed it. I'm just wondering what it is and if theres anything I can do to get rid of it. I think it might be a STD because if I noticed it a few days after sex. Pretty dumb of me but I noticed it a few years ago and haven't tried figuring out what it is. Thank you very much for your help. This is a embarrassing topic for me.  I haven't told anyone.

You were a great help and thanks for taking the time to respond. I wouldn't say the symptoms are servere. It just looks like the skin is dry and spoty almost in a off color rash area. Its not painful.  I hope its not genital warts! I'm going to try some calamine lotion and a mild steriod cream like dermacort after that if it doesn't get better. The rash never has spread and sometimes I think its less noticeable. I will keep you posted.

Hello,
Without examination, confirmation of a diagnosis is tough but it can be contact dermatitis, rash due to friction rub with clothes, dermatitis (atopic, contact, allergic),excessive sweating causing sweat dermatitis or balanitis(due to an underlying infection (bacterial and fungal as well as other organisms) .Even genital warts cannot be ruled out as it is spread through direct skin-to-skin contact during oral, genital, or anal sex with an infected partner.

You may try calamine lotion on the rash. You should also maintain hygiene and try to keep the area clean and dry, wear loose-fitting cotton clothing. Also use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. You can also use a barrier cream with zinc oxide paste or calamine lotion or a mild steroid cream like dermacort on the rash.

If the symptoms are severe then please get it evaluated from a dermatologist and get a biopsy skin done.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
