rash on abdomen/penis hours after sex

this rash appeared on my abdomen just below my belly button about 4-5 hours after having protected sex. it is raised and itchy, and not all the bumps are centered around hairs (folliculitus?) the rash extends down to my pubic hair but is much less dense down there. there is one very small bump of the same type (pattern wise) on the top of the shaft of my penis and red splotches on the head of my penis. these do not itch like the rash on my abdomen though nor are they as raised. what could this be? herpes? fungus? minor irritation?

attached is a photo of my abdomen.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Since the bumps appeared after intercourse, so the possibility of contact dermatitis or irritation of the hair follicles causing folliculitis cannot be ruled out. It starts when hair follicles are damaged by friction from clothing or blockage of the follicle. In most cases of folliculitis, the damaged follicles are then infected with the bacteria Staphylococcus (staph).

Apply some warm compresses and some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed. Also if the bumps turn painful then shingles has to be explored but the chances are very less likely.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
