I've had a rash for several months that is right above the crack of my buttocks that itches and has a dry border around it. My local MD gave me a cream that didn't seem to work at all. What else do I need to do?
I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be due to friction rub, fungal infection, sweat dermatitis or eczema of the skin. Take some antihistaminic like Benadryl and apply some calamine lotion or mild steroid cream on the rash. If the symptoms persist then a dermatologist’s consultation will be the best.
Hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional queries. Kind regards.
