rash on penis and scrotum

Doctor,

Last Monday night I noticed the beginning of a rash on one of my scrotums. By Tuesday and on into Wednesday it has covered half of my penis shaft and parts of scrotum. Went to Urologists on Thursday but he said I was inflamed because my wife had given me a little bit of her womans yeast infection cream since we thought maybe that was it.

The urologist thought maybe it was a contact dermatitis that got infected. He prescriped Rupax, Advantan, and Cefadroxilo. I did use condoms at a party 2 days before and was in a natural jacuzzi so it could be. Looking around the internet though I was concerned if it really is a dermatitis either from bacteria in the jacuzzi or a reaction to latex, or if a possibly Psoriasis.

Since we live in the Caribbean, sometimes the medical advice is not the best, so thought it would be good for second opinion. I have posted pictures of it on my personal page here on medhelp. I do not know if you can see them or if I should email them.

I turned the pictues on public view so that you can see them and concur with your assesment. Thanks for the help.

Yes the first medicine is an antibiotic for bacteria, second for allergic reactions, and the is an antiflamatory cream.
Let me know if you still think the hydrocortisone is worth a shot. It is getting a little better. not inflamed anymore. just a flat red rash.

Best regards,

This sounds like dermatitis, or irritation, rather than a yeast infection.  I think you might benefit from using hydrocortisone cream 1% twice a day for a week or two.  It doesn't sound as though any of the medicines your urologist prescribed are cortisone creams--they sound like antibiotics.  If the cortisone doesn't work, you should see a skin doctor.  By the way, your personal profile has no photos I can find.

Best.
