rash on penis

I've had a rash on my penis for about 8 months now. Its on the foreskin of the head. Every once in a while its gets a blistery coating on top. I haven't been sick or had any fevers or anything like that. Do you have a suggestion to what this might be.

I noticed in some of the friction related penis problems,you have recomended 1% codrocotisone...but the doses have been different...how many times a day should I apply the cream??

It's probably from friction.  Try lubricating every day and applying 1% hydrocortisone (OTC) once a day till the rash goes away.  Next time you see your doctor, let him look at it to be sure.  Best.  Dr. R
