rash on penis

Hi, i had unprotected sex last weekend and when i woke up the morning of i had a red spot that looked like a circle on my penis that was kinda flakey. The next day i went to get a std test and everything came up negative.  but later on in the week i had pain in the tip of my penis after ejaculation when i peed, but has slowly gone away. So i called my doctor and he prescribed me to some doxycline cuz he said i had an enflamed prostate and thats what caused my pain in the tip of my penis. But the rash has not gone away and i have no clue what has caused this rash on my penis. it seems like it is going away slowly but i cannot tell and it gets kinda flaky if i dont put vaseline on it. It is also very small and it looks like a pink eraser mark.  i am very confuesed and hope the std check was not a false negative.

This sounds like irritation, perhaps started by friction from sex and then kept going by your examining it.  No reason to suspect a false negative STD test.  Just keep the area moist and leave it alone.

Thanks.
