'rash' on the head of my penis

Hi Dr.
I will be thorough and try to get my $19 worth here.
I am 41 and in good health. About 5 months ago I started getting some throbbing sensations in the head of my penis. Sometimes very sharp pain. About 3 months later I got a "welt" about half the size of a penny on the penis head. I have been to 2 different urologists who did blood work, urine samples and even "scoped" into the penis. All results have been negative and they do not know what this is. The welt has not gone away and in the past month or so I have gotten some smaller protruding bumps about the size of the tip of a sharpened pencil and they are not going away, either. They are not open sores, nor do they itch.
There is also some red blotches that occur from time to time. The skin on the head almost seems like it has become very aged, looking quite dry and shriveled. There is no burning, no pain during urination or ejaculation. I am not circumcized and I do keep it very clean.
If you are familiar with this situation and can recommend some medication, it would be greatly appreciated. I am about at wits end.

I'm honestly not sure, though your desxription doesn't remind me of anything serious. Now that the urologists have ruled out internal problems, I suggest you consult a dermatologist, since you have a visible rash. Meantime, apply over-the-counter 1% hydorocortisone twice daily, keep the area lubricated, and don't rub or poke the area until you see the skin doctor.

A follow-up to this, now that I have read more of the archives... a recent girlfriend that I was having unprotected sex with told me that she had a yeast infection and was treated for it. This would have been about the time I started noticing the aforementioned symptoms.
