rash

I think I should have posted here, I hve a rash on my testicles that won't clear up. My doc gave me a couple differet creams but they are not working its been at least a month and a half.  Sometimes it looks ok other times its so red. Any suggestions what I should do?

These symptoms can be due to dermatitis skin. Avoid using any lotions and creams for the meantime. Wash the area with a mild cleanser with moisturizing properties like Cetaphil. Then apply a good hypoallergenic moisturizer over the area and wear cotton clothes. If the symptoms still persist then please get it evaluated from a dermatologist.

Thank you for taking thi time to reply, I saw my doctor yesterday, he gave me a dirrerent cream and said to use it for a month, he also told me I cannot pass it to my wife. But my question is that if he doesn't know what it is how can he be sure?  Should I refrain from sex?

Generally skin fungal infections are contagious. Although it does not look like a fungal infection, yet to confirm the diagnosis, get a KOH examination of the skin scrapings done. If fungal infection is confirmed then it can be transmitted.
