rashes around the gential area

I have been noticing some red rashes around my gential area for the past few weeks now.  These rashes itches once in a while.  I have just recently been dignoised for a urinary intraction or something like that.  But the point is, these rashes is spreading around the belt area and I'm very concern if it's some kind of STD.  I have some speculations that it can't be some kind of STD because I haven't had any sexual intercouse with anyone yet.  Also there are some simular rashes around my left arm pit.

Rashes in the groin and the armpit are usually eczema or seborrhea.  This doesn't sound like an STD.  You can pick up STD's from contact that falls short of intercourse, but the rash really doesn't sound like that.  What you should do is see a skin doctor, get the right diagnosis, treat it, and forget about it.

I went to a doctor and he said it was ringworms.  So he gave me a persciption cream to use with lodrimin.  Another thing that he said was, the ringworms should be gone in a couple of days.  It's been a couple of days now and nothing has changed.  Can you tell me more about eczema and the other disease that you mentioned.  I'll go back to the same doctor and inform him about it.  Another question, what causes eczema and how do I prevent it, or can I care it.

"Ringworm" (fungus) takes a couple of weeks to go away, not a couple of days.
