rashes on legs

I have a daughter who is 10 years of age and she has so many tiny bumps on her legs and arms. She couldn't helped to scrach those bumps and now those bumps are bleeding. Is there any suggestion for the cure?

There is a common skin condition called hives or urticaria, which causes red and sometimes itchy bumps on your skin. Hives can occur anywhere on the body such as the trunk, arms, and legs. Hives are usually allergic (food, medication, cosmetics and insect stings) but may also be due to infections and stress. Many a times no specific cause for them is ever found.

Most cases are mild and resolve on their own. They usually go away on their own. The most commonly used oral treatments are over the counter antihistaminics (such as cetirizine, loratidine, benadryl available over the counter). The rash should however not be scratched or tampered in any way as this may lead to secondary complications such as infections.

However, if the symptoms persist or increase in frequency or intensity or your daughter  experiences any difficulty in breathing or sweating etc, you should immediately consult a doctor.

Has she seen a doctor? How long has she had them and are they spreading? I would have her checked for Scabies and rule this out first.....Good luck
