Razor bumps under the arms are painful and disturbing. The skin under your arms is delicate, so you must be very careful in selecting the razor as well as the products.
The skin should be prepared carefully prior to shaving by devoting extra time. Wash under warm shower with hypoallergic antibacterial soap followed by rinsing thoroughly. This will help the pores open. Apply a gentle skin shaving gel and shave with a new triple-blade razor. There should be no irritation in the free and smooth movement of the razor. Apply some cream or moisturizer after this. You should try to wear loose fitting clothes for the first few hours after shaving and avoid applying deodorant for a couple of hours, if possible.
If you are still experiencing irritation, you may try some over-the-counter hydrocortisone cream after shave. In persistent cases you may consult a dermatologist.
Take care
