reaction to SDS PAGE reagents

by preti, Mar 14, 2009 12:57PM
While performing an experiment (SDS PAGE) using chemicals such as sodium dodecyl sulphonate, acrylamide, bis-acrylamide,methanol, acetic acid etc. I seem to have touched some of them as the very next day I got small boil like rashes or elevated points all over my palm and sides of fingers and on the skin before nails on both hands. The next day I got the same type of elevations on the skin before my toenails although only my hands came in contact with the chemicals.
Please advise on what I should do as the chemicals are higly toxic and some of them are even carcinogenic.
