Well.. Im pretty sure i have genital herpes because i had unprotected anal sex. i havent gotten checked yet nor have i taken medication for it but If i do have it. i have a few questions..

1. when i went to the doctors for it, she did a rectal examination and found two of the blisters near my rectum prescribed me a few things and carried on, I haven't taken the med's yet and i now have a burning feeling on the back of my legs as well as my buttocks and on the outside of my feet.. is this from herpes?

2. I'm actually really scared. I've been getting tingly itches all over my body lately and i shower constantly so i know its not because i am unclean, can that be from H.S.V?

3.beings i'm pretty sure i have hsv2.. i also gave him oral sex as well, and i havenit gotten any sores or blisters near my mouth or on it, with that being said could it still be very well possible i even have herpes?

4. i also have not really been getting out of bed, ive been very tired so most of the day im laying down, could that be why i feel burning on my buttocks and it not be from herpes?

Hello,
Herpes appears as one or more blisters. The blisters break, leaving tender ulcers (sores) that may take two to four weeks to heal the first time they occur. Typically, another outbreak can appear weeks or months after the first, but it almost always is less severe and shorter than the first outbreak.

So it is less likely that it is herpes. This tingling and burning can be due to pinched nerve, spinal causes, diabetes, hypothyroidism, and hypoparathyroidism. They can also be due to peripheral vascular disease, vitamin B12 deficiency or malnutrition.

Get your blood sugar and thyroid hormones levels evaluated. You can take some vit B12 for some days and see if the tingling is gone or not. If the symptoms persist then these possibilities need to be evaluated for which I suggest you to consult a dermatologist.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

hello Dr,
I still have not gotten checked yet, which I'm sure is a poor decision on my part.
I don't believe its due to vitamin b12 deficiency or malnutrition. I'm almost positive its genital herpes. Further more, i made an appointment to go get checked for numerous std's as well as what my thoughts that are of my condition:

Ill explain really quickly why it leads me to believe i have hsv2, I'm having what is believed to be my second outbreak. My first outbreak was back in November when i went to the hospital to have my doctor do the examination.. well they eventually went away. Now, I'm having another series of sores and blisters all around my rectum (about 3 or 4 visible tender bumps) and one on the rectum itself , none on the upper region of my vaginal area, lips, or near the opening, Although the inside does feel uncomfortable to urinate, but not as much as a UTI would feel, when I'm having my out break and its just very tender. I seem to be having my own psychological problems coping with it.

Hello,
The only way of ruling it out is by getting yourself tested for genital herpes. Laboratory tests include: culture of the virus, direct fluorescent antibody (DFA) studies to detect virus, skin biopsy, and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) to test for presence of viral DNA. I sincerely advise you to consult a dermatologist and get it ruled out.
