rectal mystery

my husband has for years an ongoing rectal problem, the doctors cannot clear it up nor give it a name. it starts off by passing stool, then wipping with toilette paper only to find bright red blood sometimes.only when pushing and the stool is hard. the main problem is that just around the opening of the anus it becomes moist  and with a feeling
that there is something there. and a little itchy and uncomfortable.sometimes when stools are dry and hard, he will
experience a small cut.  lately little pimples have been appearing on the outside opening, of the rectum. there is no pain, it is very complicated and he is getting very stressed over the mystery, it is difficult to live with. does anyone have any suggestions orf diagnosis.

For such anal symptoms like bleeding in stools and pimples on the anus, the possibilities of external hemorrhoids is important to be ruled out.
Symptoms of external hemorrhoids may include painful swelling or a hard lump around the anus which may itch. He can sit in a tub of warm water for 10 mins at least twice a day.
