recurring cysts on penis shaft

recurring cysts on penis shaft

hi , im a 21 year old male. for the last 7 years i have had recurring (cysts) on my penis shaft mostly next to the veins but it moves around i got a biopsy done and it showed that cysts were coming up under the skin bursting causing red lumps approx half a pinky nail these would then pop and and would have pus they are always very sore.

i have taken multiple tests for stds etc all came back negative . my dermatologist prescribed ointment which done nothing then prescribed minomycin for 6 months two tablets a day i think 50mg each.  any ideas what could help ??? this problem  has seriously messed up my love life , and has affected my happiness etc

when i asked the dermatologist what was the cause he said bad genetics. now im not sure if hes just pulling me along for the money or if hes actually trying to help .

have any of you had this or  have any idea how to treat it ???

note: ive had this condition before any sort of sexual intercourse ive been to multiple doctors most of which didnt make much effort , one who said it was natural and it will go away on its own , anyways this doctor is the first doctor to take further action .

Hello,
These can be due to folliculitis skin or multiple cysts. Apply warm compresses, Neosporin ointment and calamine lotion and avoid messing with it. Also wear cotton clothes. You  can take anti-inflammatory pain killers like ibuprofen or acetaminophen. If the lump persists then it will be best to get it evaluated from a dermatologist and discuss the treatment of cysts.

Generally no treatment is required but they become painful or are cosmetically unpleasant, then it means they are infected, then surgical excision by traditional wide excision, minimal excision, and punch biopsy excision may be required.
