recurring molluscum contagiosum

by modpod, Aug 13, 2008 08:10PM
So here goes- I am a 22 year old male and was diagnosed with molluscum in late october of 2007 and shown how I could remove them on my own if they ever happened again. In June 2008 I began to have the same itchy molluscum symptoms and lo and behold little mollusci appeared right above my pubic area and on the side of the scrotum. I removed them on my own(took out the little inner core), but I must have missed some because a few days ago I noticed a bunch of new mollusci hanging out a little lower. i.e.  on my thigh in the space next to that particular area. My question is this, could mollusucm recurr like this or should I be worried about something more serious? I'm mainly referring to the time period between october 2007 and june 2008 when I did not think I had any more. Is this odd? Please advise. Thanks.
