recurring tiny red boils and slight itching on penis head.

hi,
im 27 yr old and i am having a problem with recurring tiny red boils on my penis head. occasionally there is  slight itching..i have not had any sexual contact with anyone and i am sure it is not an std..but i used to masturbate everyday..i have tried applying vaseline,it is having a slight effect but  the red boils recur after a few days..i have read a lot of posts and most of them suggest that its due to friction or fungus , but still im worried. i do not want to consult a doctor, plzz help me..and give me an answer....

Hi,
I have been having intercourse for past 2 and a half years with the same girl. I am having small red shaped boil kind of bums, which appear small, on my penis head but on stretching the skin it looks big (around 2 mm) and white(may be because of blockage of blood circulation, while stretching). I was having such kind of boils earlier also when I was a virgin on my shaft just below the head(mid portion between shaft and head) I am circumsized also . I have been masturbting without using my hand but friction lying down on the bed. I usually don't wash after masturbating on bed Is it just some kind of infection or STD? I itches very very often
What are the home based remedies for the same. Kindly suggest

hello,

i think you are right, coz this happened after a few days of rigorous masturbation..even now when i stop it, the boils disappear and it reappears when the skin is irritated after masturbating a few times...so it may be the case of friction and blockage of the follicles..i have got a tropical antibiotic, fucidin cream...hope that will be helpful..will keep u posted..

thank u..

Hello,
Folliculitis is the inflammation of one or more hair follicles. The condition may occur anywhere on the skin.It starts when hair follicles are damaged by friction from clothing or blockage of the follicle. In most cases of folliculitis, the damaged follicles are then infected with the bacteria Staphylococcus (staph).

After masturbation, the semen can block the follicles if not cleaned and left to dry. So that may be the reason for you getting the folliculitis.
I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

Hello,
It can be due to folliculitis skin. Keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
