Dr. Rockoff,
I posted a few days ago under the thread title "
recurrentRecurrent cystitis tag". I should have been upfront and told you that I was also in the medical field.
I had had a recurrence of what I had been previously told was a tag by a dermatologist, and had not paid much attention to it until just recently (when I became
paranoidParanoid personality disorder
Paranoid schizophrenia
Schizophrenia - paranoid type re: genital warts). My main question and the point that I needed reassurance about had been whether a skin tag can recur and you had responded that yes one can. You also had suggested that I see a physician regarding the the lesion, although you had also said that you "bet it's a tag."
I don't mean to be disrespectful in any way, but I would like to know what your rationale is for suggesting that I have the new tag seen by a physician? This new lesion looks similar to me. Would the point of a doctor's visit only be reassurance or did my story sound unusual to you?
Thanks again.
