red bumby itchy rash

My son has a red bumby itchy rash. it was small at first and now seems to be spreading. on his back, butt. legs, chest, ect. It is always worse after a bath. I dont think it is contagious because no one else in the home has this.Some parts you can feel more than see. Some parts look dried up after awhile. I havent used anything to get ride of it, since I have no idea what it is. Any idea what it could be???
