red bumps - resemble bites

lately, ive been getting these red bumps (resemble mosquito bites) on my chest and various other places. sometimes, i will get one my wrist or forearm and it will go away within a few hours. other times, i will have red bumps that are not like bites (mostly on my chest), but those take longer to go away...a few days, i suppose.
does anybody have any idea what could be causing this?

also, for a week, ive been off of doxycycline. i took 100mg/day twice for a week. i dont know if that means anything.
