(about the size of a dime) beside her eye. Then on her other cheek it is alot larger and goes downward, not really near the eye either. At first I thought it looked like a road burn
. We have asked her about EVERYTHING in the house and she said she has not put anything on her face or used a different soap. She has very sensitive skin and has keratosis. She uses Differin cream but it has never caused her face to look like this.
maybe her keratosis is starting to process a little more faster than usual? im not 100% sure but i would suggest going to the drs to have it looked at for sure if its not gone away in a few days or if it gets any worse.best of luck!
Hello,
For such symptoms viral infection like Fifth’s disease. It is caused by a virus (parvovirus B19). This disease tends to occur in the winter and spring but can occur year-round. The disease can cause a low-grade fever, headache, sore throat before the appearance of rash. The earliest specific sign of the disease is often bright red cheeks thus called slapped cheeks disease. Sometimes the child may have sore joints with the rash.
I would suggest you to get your child evaluated from a dermatologist/pediatrician and get other viral infections ruled out.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
