red patch under penis foreskin

hello doctor, i had a question about a red patch that had developed on my penis foreskin, there were no blisters/lesions/or ulcerations, i havent develped the patch in 7 months, i was wondering if balanitis can affect under your foreskin, i have been diagnosed by a doctor on 2 occassions with balanitis but it was more on the penis glans.....again it was just a red patch of skin, i am uncircumsized its probably nothing but would just like an expert opinion. thanks.

please help me too..here is the prob i mentioned to  HeavyC400:

Hi friend..i read your problem about red patches under the foreskin of the penis.

I am facing similar prob for more than 20 days now.

Primarily i applied, nesporin powder, antiseptic creams, betnovate gm cream (later stopped this being a steroid)..all these by attempting self treatment. An initial relief happened but didnt last longer.

Then i sought advice from my wife's Gyanecologist since she is treating her for infertility. Its apparent that since my wife was also undergoing itching and pain due to infection in her vagina, i might have cotracted infection while having   intercourse. The Gynaec has prescribed a gel ointment called metrogyl and some tablets. I am applying that for more than a week now but not getting relief.

Please tell what you did for your treatment and is that cured by now completely?

Await your say..its urgent!

Thanks

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
If the rash is non itchy then it can be due to dermatitis skin or chafing skin. Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. Also wear cotton undergarments. Application of mild corticosteroid cream and oral antiinflammatories like ibuprofen/acetaminophen are also helpful. If the symptoms are severe then it will be best to consult a dermatologist.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
