red patchs

hi i visted my derm the other day he said he thinks i av perioral dermatitis rosacea i have red patches on my forehead that itch and sometimes my eyes go red around them and sometimes the eyelid swells and itch my cheeks sometimes flush, he has given me canerten hc cream and antibotic (antibiotic) tables is this the usual treatment and i thought you got this problem round your mouth i av nothing round my mouth.

I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be seborrheic dermatitis, eczema or rosacea as the dermatologist has diagnosed. My sincere advice is to take a second opinion from a dermatologist and get an examination done to confirm the diagnosis. A skin biopsy may also be needed.
