red spot above my chin under bottom lip

well im 19yrs old, not currently sexually active but i have been in the past but i used protection minus one time.
i do have very mild acne and no background in random skin rashes or redness.
i have had the chiken pox, all my shots been up to date till high school. (no medical insurence at the moment and im not sure on how to get it)

now having said that, since the past 4 days ive had a red spot on the left side of my face right under my bottem lip. theirs two faint brown/black spots aswell (look like faded birth marks) this is not the first time it has poped up. ive done a little research and it dosent check out to be any std to my knowledge. it dosent hurt when i touch it, its not raised or have any kind of blister. it does get a little dry and flaky in the morning though.
ive been using a little hydro cream a couple times a day to see if it helps. since i started this it has reduced in size and faded off a bit but to me it looks like it got a little darker.

i dont want to keep stressing it if its nothing major.
also i do live with my brother who has had a history of "cold sores" since we were younger and i do associate with friends who say they have "cold sores". i do live up north, and im very cautious about sharing food, cleaning and disinfecting everything other people use like toilet seats and so on.

i can post pictures if this is allowed.

just to add to the above.

the skin is dry, flaky in the morning.
my mom has been a nurse as far back as i can remember, after speaking to her she told me it could be due to a number of things.
something i ate, taking too hot of a shower, an allergic reaction to basically anything
toothpase?soap(im allergic to irish springs, havnt use any in a while though)? etc.
also, ive been sick with the flu/fever/and phleghm for the past week. if that means anything?

now, i have cut back on the hydro cream. due to it sorta burning after the use. i switch over to lotion. it helps alot even though the red spots are still visible. one blotch is right next to my lip, the other is a little further down and i belive theirs a 3rd on my chin.

help.

hey doctor, i have a new update for you.
after a couple weeks of it subsiding, it seems like its come back with some friends.
2 new spots a large one and a small one.
its red-pinkish in color a slight raise to the tough. no pain no burning sensation only feels irritated when i use hydro corti.
i honestly belive its due to the cold weather or a reaction to chemicals from my job (even though lately i have used anything, i work with cars)

i have yet to visit a derm. (no insurence, nor do i know the cost of a visit)
but i have done some research on this and heres what it looks like to me.
-allergic contact dermatitis- theirs a picture on skinsight.com (5th picture) and it looks allot like that.
-rosacea-but no bumps or veins, just the same color.
-eczema-i do suffer from allergys (asthma)
-soborrheic dermatitis-i notice i get similar looking spots on my chest arms and back
(mild to moderate, some flaky to the touch. )

i have a long history of dry skin, dandruff, and things of that nature. sorry to keep buggin and asking what may seem like stupid questions but i really appricate the help.

Hello,
These brown colored spots can be due to freckles or lentigo. It is a small, sharply circumscribed, pigmented macule surrounded by normal-appearing skin.
You cannot remove them at home.Cryosurgery using liquid nitrogen and laser are the main treatment modalities. Although there are many skin creams like hydroquinone and salicylic acid, but their use needs prescription .I would recommend a dermatologist’s consultation for this.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

update- after using the hydro cream for a week longer it cleard up great..well the redness atleast.
it did get blotchy at one point but reduced in size.
now my issue is these 4-5 pesky brown looking spots i have left.
they get a bit dry so use a little a+d ointment

i was wondering what this might be? and is their any treatment to even out skin tones or even eliminate blemishes on the face?

Hello,
From the symptoms it seems like eczema or contact dermatitis. Eczema is term for a group of medical conditions that cause the skin to become inflamed or irritated. It is often caused by allergies to common natural inhalants and intolerance to some foods. It can recur whenever the body is exposed to the allergens again. Just apply some calamine lotion and mild steroid cream and keep the area well mositurised. If the symptoms persist then a dermatologist’s consultation will be the best.

In cold sores, pain, burning, tingling, or itching occurs at the infection site before the sores appear. Then clusters of blisters erupt which break down.
