red spots after hair removal by waxing

by sloloef, Oct 29, 2002 12:00AM
About 4 months ago i had my legs waxed for the first time. As expected my legs were red for a few weeks ( eg. red spots were the hair came out). Most of this redness then gradually cleared. Some red spots are still present around my ankle and lower leg due to the waxing 4 months ago. Can you suggest any treatment (eg ointment etc) that will clear the redness, and how long it will take to resolve.

Thankyou.

Vitamin E cream may help a little, but basicaly you need to wait it out.  The redness may take 6-9 months to go away, but invariably, if left alone, it does resolve.  You may want to take this lengthy redness into consideraton of and when you wax again.  It may not last as long next time, but you won't know till you try.

Best.
