redness around the groin

hay, im 17 and not sexually active. a few days ago i noticed red spots on my scrotum and now its formed what id describe as a rash. It covers one side of the scrotum and red dots are around the outside circumference of the rash. from what i no about fungal infections like the tinea family tree, it doesnt have that ring thing what so ever but is instead a solid red. but in supporting it, it has been hot lately and i have been court unwillingly walking around outside in jeans, hence the sweaty factors fungi love so much.

From the symptoms it can be intertrigo. Keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics.Topical zinc oxide cream like Sudocrem, Desitin are very helpful(apply with a paper towel and not directly with hands).Application of mild steroid cream like dermacort also helps. For the itching please take some over the counter antihistaminic like benadryl or Claritin. In case the symptoms persist then antifungals may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case.
