Emilio:

When you vomit, you put greater pressure on the blood vessels above the neck.  This can burst some of them, leaving you with some redness for a while.  It will go away by itself in a few days, and certainly does not sound, in your case, like an allergic reaction.

Best.

My 13 year old daughter has red splotches on her cheeks on her face.  She has had a degree of this since birth, but latly it is more noticable.  It looks like she has been outside in the cold or has been running along time.  There are no bumps or itching. Just a red rash. Please let me know what this is or if I should be concerned.

Message to Trisha in the above comment about your 13-year-old daughter with red cheeks.  Our daughter has had something similar to this condition.  Check the question back in January in this forum, titled atypical facial eruption, and comment on whether it sounds like what your daughter has. Look forward to hearing from you.

Sorry Trisha that title was, unusual facial eruption, by Terry posted on 1/16/2000.  Hope we can help each other.

I am 18.  About 4 years ago I developed a strange red rash on my face...it goes all over my cheeks, until up beside my eyebrows, and then down to the corner of my mouth.  The strangest part is that there are definite "borders" of the rash.  It sounds similar to what you describe.  Needless to say it hurts one's ego to have to look in the mirror and see bright red markings over most of one's face.
